Our Artistic Director

ZAK NEMORIN

Zak trained at Millennium Performing Arts, London Studio Centre and The BRIT School. He is Artistic Director at Millennium Performing Arts and also for TheJazzCore Company, a spicy professional collective of dance artists devoted to the lineage and evolutions of Jazz Dance in all its forms. Zak further heads MPA College’s dance department and is Course Leader for their degree course, as validated by University of Worcester. He was also a panellist for the Artist Of Choice Awards 2016.

As a performer he has starred in West End and International productions of Wizard of Oz; Strictly Ballroom; High Society; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels; Viva Forever!; Sweet Charity; Carousel; Aladdin; Mary Poppins; Chicago; We Will Rock You; West Side Story; Legally Blonde; She Loves Me; Cats; Saturday Night Fever; We Will Rock You; Absolutely Fabulous and Maybe by Emma Bunton.

Zak had the Original Concept and is Co-Creator / Additional Choreographer for UPROOTED: The Journey of Jazz Dance.

As a Choreographer he further created: ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT and DORIAN GRAY (Incognito Theatre – Off Broadway, London and Edinburgh); STORY OF OUR YOUTH (National Youth Theatre); HERE, LONDON ROAD and STANDING BY all for the Stanwix Theatre; POSH (Warwick Arts Centre).

Zak recently was Associate Choreographer for the Royal Danish Ballet School and now has this role at Oure Performing Arts in Denmark.

He received an Offie Awards finalist nomination for Best Choreographer for GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES at the Union Theatre, which actually won Best Musical 2020. He has also choreographed for TV’s MIDSOMER MURDERS and AGATHA RAISIN.

This year’s credits are a devised immersive Musical Theatre experience called BEHIND THE CURTAIN, performed by MPA’s ToTheCore and TheJazzCore Company at The Victoria & Albert Museum as part of the V&A Performance Festival 2023 and he is Ron Howell’s Associate Choreographer for REBECCA The Musical at The Charing Cross Theatre, London.

Zak is a sought-after teacher in and around Europe and he prides himself on counting so many of the young talented performers of today having been his students; he loves bringing the best out in people and can’t wait to get going every new academic year with a fresh cohort of students and pushing along the returners for their further training and education.
